What professional development have Solutions Together undertaken in 2024
Putting our own advice into practice, we recently took time away from the office and attended conferences to upskill ourselves in the most up to date evidence base that underpins our work.
In April, Dr Anita Morris attended the Joint Social Work and Social Development world conference in Panama.
In July, Lani Peach attended the International Association for Counselling conference on Mental Health, Wellbeing and Resilience. In November, Dr Morris is presenting on the highly successful AASW Introduction to Best Practice for Supervision course at the International Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health. We will use our new knowledge, skills and networks to support you in your practice, or to grow your business and provide great service to your customers.
Supervision course nominated for an Australian Institute of Training & Development - AITD: Finalist Best Capability Development Program!
Solutions Together designed and developed the very successful Introduction to Best Practice for Supervision training which was purchased by the Australian Association of Social Workers in June 2023. This full day training is designed for those who have supervisory responsibilities, or who are seeking a supervisory role in the following professional groups: social workers and other allied health professionals, youth and welfare workers, disability and aged care team leaders and care managers. A focus on mental health and wellbeing
We have been working with a number of organisations, supervisees and training participants lately who are seeking a greater focus on wellbeing in the workplace and at home.
Work pressures, cost of living and housing availability and affordability is challenging our mental health and wellbeing.
At this time, understanding and building strategies to support and build our resilience and nurture our wellbeing is critical to our productivity and workplace connectedness.
Check out our workshop: Your Wellbeing and Building Resilience. This course will provide you with a new outlook and a plan that commits you to new habits that will foster mental health and wellbeing. Click on the link below to register your interest.
