All our workshops can be offered at a time and place to suit you. We specialise in working with those employed in the disability and aged care sectors. We often work with rural agencies and we hold training in both metro and rural locations to ensure accessibility. Take a look at our 3 hour workshops designed to provide participants with opportunities to learn, network, reflect and grow their confidence and skill base.Our facilitators are highly experienced health and welfare professionals with many years experience working in the field. Our workshops are usually 1/2 day (3 hour) workshops and include all training materials, morning or afternoon tea.

1/2 DAY WORKSHOP Managing Challenging Behaviours

On completion of this training participants will be able to:• Understand challenging behaviours• Explain unacceptable behaviour• Monitor and assess behaviour• Be familiar with policies & procedures• Prevent an aggressive incident• Defuse aggressive behaviour• Resolve Conflict• Self-care
1/2 DAY WORKSHOP Your Wellbeing & Building Resilience
Location: Melbourne, Mornington, Gippsland, Goulburn Valley
On completion of this training, participants will be able to:• Define wellbeing and resilience and understand its role in the workplace• Identify strategies that promote wellbeing and resilience• Recognise signs of burnout and describe strategies to prevent burnout• Understand the importance of, and identify their own approach to-self care

Location: Melbourne, Mornington, Gippsland, Goulburn Valley
On completion of this training, participants will be able to: • Develop role clarity Increase awareness of their responsibilities to their agency and the client/family caregivers • Articulate the purpose and importance of policies and procedures and therefore, adherence to these in their workplace • Describe professional boundaries and the supports available to assist them in their work.
1/2 DAY WORKSHOP Navigating the Service System
Location: Melbourne, Mornington, Gippsland, Goulburn Valley
On completion of this training, participants will be able to:• Define service navigation• Understand service navigation principles, roles and responsibilities• Increase their understanding of NDIS and the aged care sectors• Describe intersecting sectors that can support client safety and wellbeing• Increase their understanding of client confidentiality and information sharing• Understand how to build referral pathways – building relationships and networks
