We now offer training in Gippsland and Regional victria
Feedback from participants was excellent, so we are heading back to Gippsland again in November with two workshops - our new workshop Ethical Support Coordination/Care Management and one of our most popular training topics, Managing Challenging Behaviours.
Do you know about Carer Gateway?
https://www.carergateway.gov.au/
Carer Gateway is for people looking after someone with disability, mental illness, dementia, a long-term health condition, an illness that will cause their death, an alcohol or drug problem, or caring for someone who is frail because they are older
Carer Gateway offers phone counselling, an online carer forum, and self-guided coaching and skills courses to give carers support, skills and information.
Carers may also want to visit other sites to find out about services that might help them. For example, NDIS supports people with disability, My Aged Care supports elderly people, and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs supports veterans.

Melbourne Disability Connections Expo 2022
Solutions Together attended the recent Disability Expo held at the Convention Centre in Melbourne. We enjoyed meeting with service providers & hearing what training needs staff had identified. We are looking forward to working with service providers to train and support a professional and confident workforce.
Employers who invest in their workforce value their employees. Staff who feel valued are less likely to seek alternative employment.
Working during a pandemic!
We have been working with a number of agencies and training attendees lately who are seeking a greater focus on wellbeing in the workplace and at home.
The pandemic has meant that many of us face uncertainty around our work and income. Whilst those not personally affected by loss of income may feel lucky, they are likely to be supporting family, friends and neighbours who have lost income and businesses during this time.
Our job can be our safety net, but there will be times when we feel tired, overwhelmed and unable to focus on the task at hand. This is normal and reflects the uncertainty of the world we are living in.
At this time, understanding and nurturing our wellbeing is critical to our health, safety and social connectedness. Building and maintaining good habits that include self care, time out, work/life balance, healthy eating, sleeping and exercise are all skills that we can prioritise and learn.
A new way of doing things takes just 21 day to become a habit - that is just 3 weeks!
Check out our workshop: Your Wellbeing and Building Resilience. We guarantee you will leave this course with a new outlook and a plan that commits you to new habits that will foster wellbeing and resilience.
